Terms of Service

By using our website or authorizing repair services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you have the legal authority to authorize work on the vehicle presented for service.

All non-emergency repairs are preceded by a written estimate. Work does not begin until you have authorized the estimate in writing, verbally with recorded confirmation, or electronically. If additional issues are discovered during service, we will contact you for approval before proceeding, in accordance with the New Jersey Automotive Repair Act.

Estimates are valid for a limited time and may be adjusted based on parts availability, market pricing, or previously undetected conditions.

Diagnostic and inspection services identify the most likely cause of a reported concern based on the information available at the time of service. Modern vehicles may present intermittent or overlapping issues that require further evaluation. Diagnostic findings do not guarantee a single repair will resolve all symptoms.

• Payment is due in full upon completion of service, prior to vehicle release.
• We accept major credit and debit cards, approved financing, and other payment methods as posted.
• Applicable sales tax and shop supply fees will be itemized on your invoice.
• Vehicles left more than five (5) business days after notification of completion may be subject to daily storage fees.

We use quality replacement parts appropriate to the vehicle and repair. Where feasible and requested, original equipment (OE) parts are available at an additional cost. Replaced parts may be returned to you upon request at the time of authorization, except for parts subject to core charges, manufacturer warranty return, or hazardous-material handling requirements.

Qualifying repairs are covered by our written limited warranty, the full terms of which are provided at the time of service and available on our Warranty page. The warranty is limited to defects in workmanship and covered parts, and excludes damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, modification, or the failure of unrelated components.

Vehicles left on premises are stored at the customer's risk. We take reasonable precautions to safeguard vehicles and personal property but are not responsible for items left inside the vehicle. Please remove valuables prior to drop-off.

Appointments are recommended and help us schedule technicians and parts. If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the time to another customer.

You agree not to:

• Use the website in a manner that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website or connected systems.
• Introduce viruses, malicious code, or otherwise interfere with the website's operation.
• Reproduce, copy, or resell any portion of the website or its content without permission.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of a specific repair is limited to the amount actually paid for that repair.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless R&E Auto Service and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the website or services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Waldwick, New Jersey.

We may revise these Terms at any time. The effective date above indicates when they were last updated. Your continued use of the website or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
